my world, my true

"i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you"

  • Little Man’s Party

When I started thinking about planning Knox’s First Birthday party (probably way before most people would because I’m just a dork like that), I knew I wanted a unique theme but something that really fit him and showed his personality. I had already played out the owl theme, which I was obsessed with during my pregnancy and when he was tiny, so I knew that was out. I came across a blog that used this theme that when I saw it, I immediately fell in love with the idea. So, we threw him a “Little Man” party. Some of my ideas were original, others stolen from the blogosphere (I’m just not that creative, people!), but all of them came together to make a party fit perfectly for our little man.

Here are a few of the highlights.

Some of the party decor (we hung the tie banner over our porch but I forgot to take a picture while it was still hanging)

The Kids Table (complete with peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, Annie’s Bunnies, Juice Pouches, Elastic Neckties, Tool Themed Bubbles, Mustache Candies, Blue & Green Gumballs, Finger Mustache Tattoos and more)

(And, of course, cute pictures of THE Little Man)

And, here’s the star of the show! Wearing his Little Man hat from this adorable Etsy shop

The Cupcakes, complete with Mustache Lollipop toppers

He needed the perfect outfit for the party.

Adults and kids alike had fun with the costume party favors.

    Bouncy House Fun.

The party was a success. The kids were my focus - I tried to make sure they had a ton of fun (and sugar) & I think that was accomplished.

This is one set of VERY proud parents, right here.
