my world, my true

"i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you"
~e.e. cummings

  • What Do You Do With A Tail Like This? has been a favorite of Knox’s for quite a while. It was one of the first non-board books he hasn’t torn to shreds. It’s actually a really cool book that I don’t mind reading over & over again because he seems to learn something new every time we read it.

He has (and I have!) learned several obscure animals from this book, including a bush baby, a gecko and a blue-footed booby. The book explains how different animals use their body parts to do certain things, but it’s written in a non-encyclopaedia type way with great, intriguing illustrations. I adore books that get Knox thinking and asking questions & this is definitely one of those books.

  • There Are Cats In This Book is Knox’s current obsession. It is an interactive book, similar to The Monster at the end of this Book (another favorite) but even cuter. Tarrell & Knox picked this out at the bookstore last weekend while I was getting my hair cut. Tarrell said Knox was literally cackling in the store reading it over & over. We have probably read it 100 times since last Saturday & he’s still cackling.
