my world, my true

"i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you"

  • Whomever said that being loud and vacuuming around a sleeping baby makes them a good sleeper is an idiot…an idiot whose kid just happened to be a deep sleeper. Anyone with a light sleeper wouldn’t dream of even sneezing in the room next door to their sleeping baby, much less turning on a vacuum. Bonus: justification for cleaning procrastination.

Seriously, though, it really annoys me way more than it should when someone tells me that (or anything, for that matter) will solve my baby’s sleeping “problems.” Most babies don’t sleep like adults. There are real & valid reasons for that, none of which include the volume level in baby’s house nor her ability to read and manipulate her parents. If your baby slept well for you, consider yourself lucky, not a mastermind.

    End rant.
    (can anyone tell I’m tired?)
