At 25 months, Knox knows what makes him human.
Knox: I want to see a shark.
Me: Okay, we’ll go see a shark at the aquarium when we go to the beach. You can touch him, too!
Knox: Nooo! Me not want to touch him.
Me: Okay, you don’t have to.
Knox: Shark not get out the water.
Me: That’s right, sharks have to stay in the water. They can’t get you.
Knox: Me not a shark!
Me: Nope, you’re not a shark.
Knox: Me not a shark, I have socks on! Sharks have flippers!
